How intercity moving works with us
From the roads through to the routes, we’ve been moving Cantabrians and South Islanders between cities for years – Nelson, Queenstown, Dunedin, and everywhere in between.
It’s the same careful, no-fuss service as a move across town, just further down the road.
- Get a quote. Tell us your pickup and drop-off cities, roughly how much you're moving, and any access details (stairs, parking).
- We plan the route. We confirm dates, crew, and truck size based on the distance and load.
- Pack and load. Our team packs (or you can), then loads carefully for the trip.
- We drive it there. Your things travel securely, and we keep you updated.
- Unload and unpack. We place everything where you want it, and unpack if you've booked that service.

Christchurch and Nelson
Regular runs between Christchurch and Nelson, in both directions. Whether it's a full house or a few key pieces, we'll get you settled in sunny Nelson, or back in Christchurch, without the hassle.
Christchurch and Queenstown
Moving to the Southern Lakes, or heading back to Christchurch from Queenstown? We handle the distance and the terrain both ways, from full home moves to single items.
Christchurch and Dunedin
One of our most travelled routes, both ways. Years of experience moving Cantabrians to Otago and Otago locals back to Christchurch, with the same care as a move across town.
Anywhere else in the South Island
Invercargill, Timaru, Blenheim, the West Coast, or somewhere smaller. Wherever you're moving from and to, if it's in the South Island, we can get you there.

We’ve done hundreds of these routes. Your things are secured properly for the trip, not just for a trip across town, and we keep you in the loop the whole way.
It depends on how much you’re moving, the distance, and whether you want us to pack as well. A small load to Nelson costs less than a full house to Queenstown, for example. The best way to get an accurate number is a quick quote, we’ll ask about your inventory and route and come back with a price, usually within 24 hours.
As early as you can, ideally 3 to 4 weeks out, especially over summer or around the end of the month when demand is highest. That said, if your move has come up quickly, get in touch anyway. We’ll always do what we can to fit you in.
Yes. We can pack everything for you, help with just the tricky or fragile items, or simply transport what you’ve already packed yourself, whatever suits your move and your budget.
Definitely. Whether it’s a couch, a fridge, or a few boxes heading to Nelson, Queenstown or Dunedin, we can take single items just as easily as a full home.
Yes, your belongings are covered while they’re in our care. If you’ve got anything particularly valuable or fragile, let us know when you book so we can take extra care with it.
